Gina Tzizik's abstract and colorful works are created using mixed media and recycled materials. They are deep and spatial, and inspired by spiritual writings and teachings. Her work is constructed using overlays of watercolor, ink, metal leaf (gold, silver and copper) and other textures to present the viewer with a dramatic and expressive piece. She is inspired by her inner search for spirituality.
Gina often draws from religious themes and the subject, content and desire to communicate to her audience are motivating factors in creating works that are deep and spiritual.
Gina's art is available in original and limited edition gicleé (ghee-clay) prints. A gicleé is an individually produced, high-resolution, high-fidelity, high tech reproduction done on a special large format printer. Her gicleés are produced from digital scans of original artwork using multi color pigment based archival ink. The images captured during the digital scanning process are then printed on archival, high quality watercolor paper. She works primarily in 20x30 and 12x16.
